Looking back towards the entrance, the influence of the grid is apparent in the design of the shoji-like closet door at left, horizontal grooves cut into the entry door, and glass shelves set into the adjacent niche. The cylindrical protrusion opposite the recessed tile-lined niche conceals lighting for the closet.
