In a 1960s redecoration, the space was “modernized” - stainless steel trim, rosewood wall paneling, and smoke gray mirrors applied to the walls. Only the original plaster ceiling, and the Tennessee marble wall at right were left visible, the clues used by the architect to begin the restoration.
