The centerpiece of the Living Room is the “fireplace” and the portrait of The Artist’s Wife, by Milton Avery, as seen in this picture from the mid 1980s.  The “coffee table” is an arrangement of two sets of stacking tables by the Italian designer Gianfranco Frattini.  Two side chairs with needlepoint seat cushions, at left rear, join the sofa seating, Maralunga, designed by Vico Magistretti.
